MedTime is developed by Solutrend ("Solutrend", "we", "us"). MedTime is an offline-first medication reminder app: it helps you keep track of medications, schedules, and whether you took a dose. This policy explains what information the app and the services it relies on (advertising and crash reporting) handle, and the choices available to you.
This policy is written to meet the requirements of the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), regardless of where you're located.
MedTime has no backend server and does not require an account, email address, or sign-in of any kind. The following is stored exclusively in a local database on your device, using your operating system's app storage:
We have no way to access, view, or transmit this information — it simply isn't sent anywhere. If you uninstall the app or clear its storage, this data is permanently deleted.
MedTime is funded by ads served through Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google's SDK may collect, on our behalf and its own:
| Data type | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Advertising identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA) | Ad personalization and frequency capping |
| Coarse device and network information | Ad delivery and fraud prevention |
| Approximate location (derived from IP address) | Regional ad relevance and legal consent requirements |
| Ad interaction events (impressions, clicks) | Measuring ad performance |
On iOS, this only happens if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. In the EEA, UK, and other regions where required, a consent form (via Google's User Messaging Platform) is shown before any personalized ad is requested — see Your choices and rights.
If the app crashes or encounters an error, Firebase Crashlytics collects a crash report containing: device model and OS version, app version, and a stack trace of the error. We deliberately never include medication names, schedules, or any content you've entered in these reports.
We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, or any government-issued ID. We do not request access to your contacts, photos, camera, or precise GPS location.
We do not sell your data in the traditional sense (there's no data broker relationship), but under CCPA's broad definition, sharing device identifiers with an ad network for personalized advertising can count as a "sale" or "share" — see your opt-out options below.
| Service | Purpose | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|
| Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform | Ad serving, consent management | policies.google.com/privacy |
| Firebase Crashlytics (Google) | Crash reporting | firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
These providers process data as independent controllers/processors under their own privacy policies, linked above.
Open Settings → Manage ad consent in the app at any time to review or withdraw your advertising consent choices. This option is shown when required by your region.
You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, restrict or object to its processing, and withdraw consent at any time. Because your medication data lives only on your device, you exercise these rights directly:
For requests concerning data held by Google (AdMob/Crashlytics) as an independent controller, contact Google directly using the links in the table above.
You have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. You can opt out of personalized advertising using the ad consent manager in Settings, or your device's ad tracking controls. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.
Local data is retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app. Advertising identifiers and crash reports are retained by Google/Firebase according to their own retention schedules, generally on the order of months, after which they are deleted or fully anonymized.
Because your medication data never leaves your device, it is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, disk encryption). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date and using a screen lock, since anyone with unlocked access to your phone can open the app.
Your medication data is never transferred anywhere — it stays on your device. Advertising and crash-reporting data processed by Google may be transferred to and processed in the United States and other countries where Google operates, under the safeguards described in Google's privacy policy.
MedTime is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided data through the app's advertising or crash-reporting components, please contact us so we can address it.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above, and, where required by law, we'll provide additional notice.
Questions or requests about this policy or your data can be sent to contato@solutrend.com.
